Simple Ping collects only the information used to provide, secure, improve, and understand the use of its monitoring service.

Creating an account

When creating an account, the email of the user, and his registering IP address are recorded

When the account is deleted, all the client's information is removed from Simple Ping:

Account contact and activity information, including email and IP addresses
Checker names, groups, targets, monitoring settings, and alert settings
Downtime and recovery history, recorded failure diagnostics, captured page source, and incident descriptions
Language, theme, grouping, and menu preferences
Invoice, payment-status, and saved-card information held by Simple Ping
Saved passkeys, API keys, heartbeat URLs, and outstanding login codes
Notification destinations, encrypted webhook or bot credentials, and browser push subscriptions
The active login session and browser cookies

The account owner may connect browser push, webhook, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, or Telegram destinations.
Simple Ping encrypts saved destination URLs, bot tokens, and browser push subscriptions.
Checker state details are sent only to the destinations selected by the account owner. The destination provider processes those messages under its own privacy terms.

Public pages use a self-hosted Matomo installation to measure aggregate visits and referral sources.
Analytics is not loaded for signed-in users or on account, administration, billing, payment, invoice, receipt, or API request pages.
Analytics cookies are disabled, browser Do Not Track is respected, and recorded page addresses and referrers exclude query values such as login tokens.
The self-hosted Matomo server anonymizes IP addresses. Analytics data is not sold or used for advertising.
