Choose a checker or group
Open a checker’s Maintenance section and choose Set maintenance. With groupings enabled, Group maintenance applies to the group’s current checkers. Choose 30 minutes, two hours, eight hours, 24 hours, or a custom end time. Maintenance must end within 30 days.
Keep history while muting alerts
Checks continue and downtime/recovery history is recorded. The dashboard and any published status page show Maintenance while the window is active. Downtime and certificate reminder emails are muted for that checker. Ending maintenance does not enable an email setting that was previously off.
Plan a server update
Before rebooting a server, schedule enough time for its services to restart and settle. Use the group action if the server hosts several monitored sites. Select End maintenance if the work finishes early. The group action affects existing members at the time you apply it; later additions do not inherit the window automatically.
Know what happens at the end
The next scheduled worker clears an expired window. If the checker is still DOWN and email notifications are enabled, it sends a DOWN notification even when repeat alerts are off. Normal notification behavior then resumes. Maintenance records real observations, so it should not be used to erase downtime from history.
